ART BUSINESS & MUSEOLOGY Session at IE University

How great was yesterday when I met a group of international students to talk about one of my passions; Museology and ART business. The three hours session took place in Segovia, at the amazing IE University Campuslocated in a historic and restored building, The Convent of Santa Cruz la Real, declared a national heritage site in 1931.The most notable feature is the church doorway in Gothic Hispanic-Flemish style.

Students from 5 continents share the CREATIVE INDUSTRIES & NEW AUDIOVISUAL FORMATS Course, and we focused on the Art Business& Museology on my Session. I really enjoyed with all the creative discussion about every subject sketched on my plan:

The definition of Art,  the interconnectivity of the art world todaythe Value in Contemporary Art,  the scenes of the world of art dealing, the Action Business and the key players, How to run a Museum, the relationships between market value and actual price in a search for the real value of the “art commodity.” Types of financial investments, Art and new media, etc.

Using CASE STUDIES,  WORK SAMPLES, PROFESSIONAL ANECDOTES with a great and open discussion and games between chapters the time flayed away!

Thank you very much to Professor MR, to the IE Stuff and students to make it possible.
